GLORIOUS EASTER SUNDAY
He is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!

On Easter Sunday we had about 300 people come to service and Rev. Gladden had a great sermon about how Jesus was crucified and rose on the third day. We had wonderful music from our children's choir, directed by Mrs. Gladden. Miss Ashley Gladden and Edwin Dixon also shared their singing talents. The Sunday school went very well with about 75 children attending. They had an Easter egg hunt and all got Easter baskets. Mrs. Becky Gladden was in charge of all the food and provided a very nice lunch in the fellowship hall after service.
I became a member of St. Paul on Easter Sunday and it was one of the most exciting things that has happen to me. It also means a lot to me because I am now a member of a church again after 7 years of just running the streets. I am blessed and thankful to be a part of the St. Paul family and I will be here for years to come!
St. Paul's Warriors - Basketball Team
This is the new St. Paul Community Lutheran Church basketball team also known as the St. Paul Warriors. The coaches for this team are Daryel Herring (Pontiac Northern/ Western Texas College) and assistant coach Mr. Jeff. The players on this team are all from Pontiac and are in the youth group through St. Paul Lutheran and have been for a couple of years. Coach Herring started coming to the church back in September of 2012 and started working with the youth group. After a few months with the kids coach Herring thought it was time to start a basketball team because he saw a lot of talent from the boys in youth group. So he went to Rev. Dietrick Gladden asking if he could start a team, and once coach Herring got all the right paperwork done it was all a go from there. Once things start rolling for the Warriors that's when coach Jeff started coming around helping with the youth group and became the assistant coach for the Warriors. This is the first season for St. Paul and we as a staff feel very good about our chances this season. Coach Herring says these boys are fearless and very talented and he thinks they can play with any teenage team in the Lutheran church community all over the state of Michigan. Good luck Warriors on your first season, we are all behind you as a church and community. Here is the roster:
